Fresh Nigerian act Lemon Adisa is out with a new tune titled “Hug,” and he teamed up with street-pop favourite Bhadboi OML to put together something different for the streets.

Hug” comes with a chilled, mid-tempo groove that sits nicely between Afropop and that new wave alté-street sound a lot of young artists are leaning into right now. The beat is soft but bouncy, with light percussion and a melody that gets stuck in your head after just one play.

Lemon Adisa opens the track with his calm, easy-going voice. He sings about needing to be close, of comfort, and that warm feeling only the right person can give. His delivery is smooth, and you can tell he’s comfortable in his sound. He doesn’t force anything; the song just flows naturally through him.

Bhadboi OML then comes in and adds his own colour to the record. His style is laid-back but full of character, and his verse gives “Hug” that extra street touch it needed. The contrast between both artists’ tones is what makes the song work so well – soft meets gritty, and the balance lands perfectly.

Hug” is the kind of song you play late at night or on a slow afternoon. Drop it on your playlist and let it sink in.
