Tanzanian Singeli heavyweight and songwriter PK Mr Konk keeps his 2026 run alive with another fast-paced offering titled “Uchunguzi.”
Known widely as the King of Singeli Michano, PK Mr Konk has built a loyal fanbase in Dar es Salaam and beyond through high-energy records that never slow down. “Uchunguzi” translates roughly to “investigation” or “inquiry” in Swahili, and that alone adds an interesting layer to what you expect before it even starts playing.
He stays true to the Singeli formula here. Rapid-fire delivery, repetitive chants, and drum patterns that hit hard and fast without giving you much room to breathe. But that’s exactly what his fans come back for every time. PK Mr Konk doesn’t experiment much with the formula, and on records like “Uchunguzi,” that consistency works in his favour.
