“Baba Lao” is a bold, energetic anthem that’s built on confidence, success, street influence and veteran status. The title roughly translates to “Their Father” or “The Boss,” and it reflects the trio’s authority in the Bongo Flava and hip-hop scene. So instead of romance or club talk, these three speak from experience, the kind earned over years in the game. Self-assured, not cocky, more like the experienced voices reminding everyone who laid the groundwork.
As the closing track on “Timeless,” it ends the project on a strong note. Worth playing loud if you respect the originators of this sound.
