Islambo has been building quietly but steadily, popping up on records with CDQ, Lady Zamar, and Moonchild Sanelly among others. Bringing him into “Built Different” adds a fresh voice to the project without pulling Otega’s sound too far in any unexpected direction. They find a common ground quickly and stay there throughout the record.
“Xfactor” runs at just one minute and fifty-two seconds, making it one of the shorter cuts on the album. But that brevity works in its favour. It doesn’t try to be more than what it is.
