South African singer-songwriter Ricky Lenyora links up with Mluusician, Killapunch, Miano, and Reece Madlisa on a fresh new cut titled “Bashana,” the eighth track on his LENYORA SZN album.

“Bashana” sits in a different lane from some of the bigger, more crowded records on the project. While songs like Malacosta and Sthombe Esihle Whistle carry heavy lineups and a lot of noise, this one feels more focused. France Bila handled production duties solo here, and that single-producer touch gives the record a consistent direction from the first second to the last.

Mluusician is once again a central voice on the project, but the real interest on “Bashana” comes from the Killapunch and Miano pairing. Both have been active voices in the Amapiano scene, and together they add a sharp energy that keeps the record moving. Reece Madlisa, who also appeared on the Malacosta Remix, continues to run through this album like a thread that ties everything together.

What makes “Bashana” worth paying attention to is how it gives the LENYORA SZN album some breathing room. Not every record on a project needs to be the loudest one. Sometimes the quieter moments say the most. This is one of those moments.
