Nigerian singer-songwriter Victony is closing in on the more boastful side of his sophomore album “STARLIFE” with his new single “Typo.”
The 15-track project arrived on August 21, 2026 through Encore Recordings. It carries features from Bnxn, Blaqbonez, YKB, Young Jonn and FOLA across different corners of the tracklist. “Typo” does not lean on a guest verse. Instead, Victony carries the record alone, letting his cadence switches and ad-libs do the heavy lifting. The recurring hook, “this one no be typo,” becomes the song’s central idea.
Victony builds the record around one theme – everything about him is correct, and there is no mistake in the confidence he carries. He moves between Yoruba and Pidgin phrases while touching on standing his ground and being hard to intimidate. So “Victony Typo” plays less like a love song and more like a statement of self-assurance.
His delivery has always leaned on melody first. However, “Typo” shows a sharper, more rap-inflected side of his pen game, which fits naturally within STARLIFE’s bolder direction.
