Canada as shorthand for escape, better life, greener pastures, that whole immigration hustle so many Nigerians relate to. Magnito’s not being subtle about the reference. Teni and JeriQ both bring different textures to a theme that’s basically universal at this point.
Beat stays upbeat and bouncy, Afropop percussion layered with a catchy melodic hook running through most of it. Nothing heavy weighing the production down. Built for that half-joking, half-serious energy the “japa” conversation usually carries.
Magnito raps with his usual comedic edge, threading humor through what’s actually a pretty real struggle for a lot of people. He’s not making light of the desire, just packaging it in something fun. That balance is basically his whole signature.
