Tanzanian singer Mbosso teams up with Nandy and producer S2kizzy on “Malaika,” a romantic Bongo Flava record accompanied by an official music video.
The title translates to “Angel” in English, and it fits the direction of the song perfectly. Mbosso and Nandy deliver an emotional performance built around love and admiration. So the record becomes a celebration of exceptional womanhood, portraying the woman at its centre as beautiful, precious and almost divinely placed in the singer’s life.
S2kizzy handles production, giving “Malaika” a polished Bongo Flava foundation that lets Mbosso’s smooth melodies sit comfortably alongside Nandy’s powerful vocals. Their chemistry is not new.
Mbosso and Nandy have already explored similar romantic territory on “Bado Siamini Mimi,” a record about disbelief at finding a love that feels almost too good to be true. But “Mbosso Malaika” pushes that theme further, framing devotion in a more celebratory light.
Three established names in Tanzania’s music scene came together for this one, and the result leans heavily on vocal chemistry rather than an overloaded arrangement.
