Talented Sesotho storyteller and songwriter Sannere is back with “Nnete,” a solo cut whose title simply means truth.

Renowned for immersive soundscapes, he brings that instinct here, fusing contemporary Afrobeat rhythms with rich melodic layering – his calling card at this point in his catalog. What separates “Nnete” from a straightforward Afrobeat cut is the heartfelt delivery underneath it. Sannere isn’t performing truth as a concept. He’s singing it like something lived through, and that distinction carries the whole record.
