Abayeni links up with Big Zulu on “Uthi Uyaguga,” and there’s an easy, catchy pull sitting under this South African collaboration.
Big Zulu’s known across South Africa for a run of hard-hitting hits like “Mali Eningi” and “Inhlupheko,” carving out serious rap credibility over the last decade. Signing to his own Inkabi Records has become something of a stamp of approval for the artists he brings up alongside him, and Abayeni’s clearly benefiting from that platform here.
Beat leans into a light amapiano groove, bright melody and catchy percussion working together without turning heavy or aggressive anywhere. Nothing complicated about the arrangement, it just wants to move a room comfortably.
