Zambian comic act and content creator Ben Lombe comes for TikToker Mr Zimba on “Ni Zee Mba,” and there’s no trying to soften it. This one’s a full diss track, no punches pulled.
Ben Lombe’s known for comedy and satire online, so hearing him switch to straight confrontation feels different. The beef between him and Mr Zimba has been playing out on social media for a while now. Eventually, he decided talking wasn’t enough, so he put it on wax instead.
King Nachi Beats handles the production, building a mid-tempo hip-hop instrumental around knocking kicks and rolling 808s. Dark synth loops run through the beat, giving it that tense, ready-for-battle feel. Nothing about the sound backs down from the song’s energy.
Ben Lombe raps in his usual animated style, rasp and all, moving through Bemba and street slang without missing a beat. He’s not holding back on the grievances either, going after Mr Zimba from the very first line. His flow stays controlled even as the content gets personal.
The bars focus on calling out fake loyalty, mocking online clout, and basically telling Zimba to sit down. There’s wit in how he does it too, using cultural references and call-and-response hooks that make the insults stick. It’s confrontational, but it’s also genuinely entertaining if you’re following the drama.
As a diss track, “Ni Zee Mba” works because Ben Lombe commits fully to the moment. The energy stays sharp from start to finish, no filler bars wasted. Feels like the opening shot in what’s probably about to be a longer back-and-forth.
