Northern Ghana rap heavyweight Maccasio unleashes “WAMA,” a hard-hitting street anthem built on raw authority and trench survival .
The track lands on September 19, 2026, through 69 Entertainment, so it keeps his run steady after that Ghana Northern Music Awards Artiste of the Year win .
Alienbeatz handles the production here, building a mid-tempo atmosphere around hammering kick drums and deep rolling sub-basslines . Dark synth loops sit under the rhythm, so the bounce feels heavy without cluttering the mix. Maccasio rides that beat with his textured rasp, switching between Dagbani, Pidgin, and English from the opening drop . His breath control stays sharp throughout, which lets every rapid-fire bar slice through clearly.
The songwriting centers on tenacity and shutting out naysayers . He speaks on the unrelenting grind and his refusal to let anyone slow his ascension, turning personal drive into something any hustler can relate to. It runs just three minutes, so there is no wasted space . The cover art shows him in a red striped jersey and shades, capturing that street-ready energy the record carries.
