Ghanaian rapper $pacely, also known as Keanu or the Ad-lib King, links up with Okese1 on a new one titled “Work.” $pacely, a member of the La Même Gang collective, brings his usual Afro-trap energy, while Okese1 adds his own hip hop edge from the Kumasi scene.

This pairing brings together two different corners of Ghana’s rap scene. $pacely’s been building his sound in Accra since his La Même Gang days, while Okese1 rose fast out of Kumasi after his breakout hit “Yie Yie” went viral nationwide.

Expect the production to lean into that Afro-trap pocket $pacely favors, tight drums, a moody low end, the kind of beat built for confident bars. Given the title, “Work” likely leans into grind and hustle themes.

$pacely probably brings his signature slurred, low-pitched delivery, the sound that’s defined him since “Love on Drugs.” His ad-libs have earned him a reputation for good reason.

Okese1 comes in with his own energetic flow, the same style that carried him from a regional Kumasi favorite to a nationwide name. Two rappers, two different scenes, one shared grind.

By the end, “Work” plays like a solid link-up between two of Ghana’s rising hip hop voices. Confident, grounded, built on hustle.
