Ghanaian artist Marince Omario is back with a new one called “Up Again.” If you know him, you already know he keeps things rooted in Ga culture and real life stories. His EP “Oblitey” made that clear.
The guy’s always had a knack for taking his own struggles and turning them into something people actually feel. “Oxford St” did that, painting a picture of street life in Osu that stuck with people. So “Up Again,” going off the title alone, sounds like more of that same honesty.
Sonically, expect that same mellow, jazzy lane he’s known for. He doesn’t chase trends, his sound leans afro-soul with hip hop woven through it. And it usually works because it feels lived-in rather than produced for a moment.
He’ll probably slide between singing and rapping the way he always does. That’s kind of his signature at this point, switching flows mid-thought without it ever feeling forced.
Given the title, this one’s likely about getting through something hard and coming out the other side. His past songs have touched on money struggles and personal setbacks, so “Up Again” tracking that same territory wouldn’t be a surprise.
By the end, this plays like another honest chapter from an artist who doesn’t oversell his story, he just tells it.
