French producer HUGEL just dropped “Movin’ To The Sun,” pairing deep-house artist Imael Angel with house legend Ultra Naté. The track became the lead single from HUGEL’s debut album, “Twenty One,” and it’s already climbing charts across the UK and globally.
Imael Angel actually wrote the lyrics first, before HUGEL built the production around them. Fire, light, distance, Angel filled the song with images that turn the sun into a symbol of renewal rather than just somewhere warm to escape to.
Once the concept took shape, HUGEL reached out to Ultra Naté, his longtime friend and collaborator. Her 1997 classic “Free” already carried that same theme of liberation, which HUGEL had remixed before, so she made a natural fit for a song built around emotional freedom.
The production blends house with tech-house and Latin-house influences, a rolling bassline and crisp percussion keeping it aimed squarely at club DJs. HUGEL and co-producer Late Nine handle the programming and keyboards, while Angel and Naté trade vocals between intimate encouragement and repeated, mantra-like hooks.
Imael Angel’s own background adds something unusual here too. He works as a Reiki Master, and his approach to music leans into vibrational healing and spirituality, bringing what’s been described as “Deep House Alchemy” into the studio.
HUGEL premiered the track during his 2026 Coachella set before officially releasing it in May, and it quickly became a DJ staple. The song’s success even gave its name to HUGEL’s summer 2026 “Movin’ To The Sun” tour.
By the end, “Movin’ To The Sun” plays like a genuine meeting of house music generations, Naté’s seasoned delivery, Angel’s fresh spiritual perspective, and HUGEL’s technical precision all landing in one track built for the dance floor.
