Award-winning Nigerian singer Ty Bello rounds off her “I Speak Lamb” album with a peaceful record titled “Shalom.” Sinach, Isi Igenegba, Adikamusic, Gwen Samuel and Eunice Jossy all join her.
“Shalom” is the twentieth and final track, so it closes a long worship journey. The word means peace in Hebrew, and it often works as a blessing. Sinach, the voice behind “Way Maker,” joins her, so the ending has wide reach.
The sound stays calm and wide, so the voices can blend like a final prayer. She sounds relaxed, as if the long journey has reached a calm place. That calm fits the title, because peace needs no shouting.
Sinach brings her well-known worship warmth, and the chorus gains lift. Isi Igenegba brings a pastor’s calm. Adikamusic, Gwen Samuel and Eunice Jossy fill the harmonies, so the finale sounds like a full room.
This one works because it ends the project on peace, not noise. Even after a 20-track run, it leaves a gentle landing.
