Empress Gifty goes back to traditional worship with “Sunsum Ndwom,” a Ghanaian gospel medley released with its official video.

Audio and video arrived together. MiPROMO Media and VMG handled distribution. So fans could listen and watch on the same day.

The medley leans on scripture. It draws from the story of Prophet Elijah on Mount Carmel, where God answered by fire. It also echoes Revelation 5:11–13, a passage about glory and majesty. It runs through surrender, thanksgiving and God’s authority.

The sound moves in stages. Reverent traditional Ghanaian worship forms the base. Rich choir harmonies surround her vocals. Then the mood shifts from solemn adoration to joyful praise. It never stays in one gear for long.

This follows “Watch Me,” a song written and produced by Kuami Eugene. That record carried an Afro-gospel feel and gathered millions of streams. “Sunsum Ndwom” takes a different road. It is more rooted and more congregational.

Empress Gifty’s catalogue includes songs such as Ebenezer, Adom, Eye Woaa and Jesus Over Do. She was also named Artiste of the Year at the 2025 Ghana Music Awards USA. So expectations were high.

Gospel fans who enjoy full worship sessions will likely want to play this one from start to finish.
