Kenyan singers Nadia Mukami and Arrow Bwoy link up again on Yumba, a song about love that lost its balance.
This track comes from two people who split after years together. Their story began in music, when Nadia called Arrow Bwoy to feature on one of her songs. They are still parents, though, and that bond keeps them in the same rooms. Arrow Bwoy showed up at her 10 Years of Nadia Mukami concert, and Nadia later said it was no reunion.
The title borrows from a Swahili word for wobbling. Nadia introduced the song by saying their love started to shake before they parted. Arrow Bwoy, for his part, spoke openly about the pain behind it. Still, the video teaser shows them arguing over food, though that scene is not necessarily real life.
This is not their first joint song, so the pair has history on record. Arrow Bwoy also invited fans with similar struggles to join the Yumba Challenge. Nadia asked followers to say why their own love kept wobbling.
Fans have watched the pair closely since the split, so every shared stage sparks talk. Press play on Yumba and tell us in the comments what a shaky love taught you.
