Horror Skunx built a character first and a song second with “The Aura Farmer,” and the result plays like a cartoon villain who wandered into a rap battle.

The Dutch musical project, led by Winston Julian, has spent years making tracks tied to internet fandoms and game characters, from Incredibox Sprunki to Poppy Playtime . This one comes from a Friday Night Funkin’ mod of the same name, where players face off against an anthropomorphic horse in a purple suit and yellow glasses .

The song itself runs about two minutes and nineteen seconds, and it wastes none of that time on humility. The narrator wakes up feeling no stress, claims he was born this way, and calls himself “God in flesh” before the first chorus lands . The hook keeps repeating “feel the heat,” and the bridge taunts anyone lonely enough to be a “LOSER” . It is a joke told with a straight face, and that is exactly why it works.

What makes the record stick is how completely it commits to the bit. The second verse includes a line about realizing he is not his father’s son, followed by the shouted aside “I’M A HORSE” . The character’s design matches that absurdity, a brown animal with slicked-back hair and a gold chain, described in the mod’s own notes as “the coolest guy you’ll ever meet… I think” . The production credits note live instruments from Nathaniel Wolkstein and TheDarthGlader, which gives the track a fuller sound than a typical meme song might get .

For anyone outside the FNF and internet-music bubble, “The Aura Farmer” might read as pure nonsense. But it knows what it is, and it never pretends otherwise.

Press play on “The Aura Farmer” and tell me whether this horse deserves his own full project.
