Nigerian street-hop singer Danny S turns to faith on “Oloun,” one of two songs on his new “Anthem” project.

The project arrived in October 2026 and pairs “Oloun” with a second record called “Gbemilo.” That two-song format keeps the release short and focused. It also comes right after his single “Low Key,” so Danny S keeps a steady pace.

The title carries the weight. “Oloun” is rooted in the Yoruba expression for God, which makes this a faith-centred record. That sets it apart from the street-oriented material that shaped much of his career. A rapper who built a name on street energy now points toward worship, and that shift gets attention.

Danny S has history that backs the move. He gained wide recognition through “Ege (Dribble),” and he has stayed active in street-hop for over a decade. Because of that, fans already trust his voice. They now hear it carry a different subject.

Yoruba also anchors his writing. He has used the language across his recordings for years, so the title fits his identity instead of feeling like a one-off choice. That consistency matters in Nigerian music, where indigenous language often gives songs their emotional reach.

Other recent titles on his page include “IGBERAGA,” “Ta Ta Ta,” and “Ogo.” So “Oloun” joins a busy run of releases.
