Amapiano artist Benzoo links up with Bukzin Keyz and Tango Supreme on Mopepe, a dance record led by its chant.
Mopepe does most of the talking, since the word repeats nonstop. Midway, a shout-out calls Bukzin Keyz by name and asks for the log drum. The lyrics stay on the party, with talk of vibes and enjoying the moment. Lyric sites show the chant repeating through almost the whole record.
Benzoo and Bukzin Keyz are no strangers to each other. Microwave carries both of them, plus Scotts Maphuma and Bob Mabena among others. They also share Izolo, which has six names across the credits. Still, Mghulugudu carries just the two of them.
Bukzin Keyz also has Bo Lavo, a record with Felo Le Tee and Tman Xpress. Spotify bills all three together, while Audiomack lists it under Benzoo with the other two as features. On Soundcharts, the record tops the Spotify popularity list for Botswana artists with a score of 64.
It runs just under three minutes, and one write-up hears house and Afro-soul in the mix. Even first-time listeners can pick up the chant quickly.
