Nigerian singer Zoro links up with Teni on a feel-good new record titled “Joy Giver.” The title says it plainly, so the song sounds like a thank-you to someone who brightens every day.
Both artists know how to turn a simple idea into a hook people repeat. Teni is famous for her loud personality and playful lines. So the pairing looks like a good fit for a record about happiness.
The beat on Zoro Swagbag – Joy Giver rides on a bouncy Afrobeats drum pattern and a warm, rolling bassline. He sounds like a man proud of his person, so each line carries a smile. His melodies glide, though a little swagger sits in his delivery.
Teni jumps in with her bold, bubbly voice and lifts the energy. She adds her own flavour, so the song gets a funny, warm side. The lyrics seem to celebrate someone who brings peace and laughter, and the hook is simple enough to sing along.
The two voices bounce off each other without a fight on Zoro Swagbag – Joy Giver, and the beat never drags. It’s happy, but it never feels loud for no reason.
