Nigerian dancer and entertainer Poco Lee finally drops “PLAY PLAY” with DJ Kamol 2, a single fans waited months for.
Months of TikTok teasers will do that. DJ Kamol 2 kept posting snippets, so by the time the song landed on October 29, plenty of people could already hum it.
Ajimovoix Drums co-produced the beat with Kamol. It’s built for clubs, not headphones. Poco Lee does what he does best, which is hype, bounce, and shout over the drums.
He isn’t a classic singer, and nobody pretends he is. His name grew out of dancing. That’s why the song makes more sense on a dance floor than on a lyrics page.
His last big feature was “OPERA MINI” with Seyi Vibez, and this one follows it.
One oddity. A DJ Kamol 2 track with the same title shows up on streaming databases from June 2024. Nobody has said whether that was the seed of this release.
Some Nigerian blogs report fans already doing dance challenges with the sound. If that sticks, expect to hear it at every party until December.
