Nigerian artist L.A.X will release his new album The Only Lover Boy Left (TOLBL) on November 6, a 12-track project.

The guest list is lean but purposeful. Olamide shows up on “Belinda,” TML Vibez handles “MAGAA,” JaQi appears on “Owa,” and DOTTi The Deity joins for “IYAWO” . That last track arrived in late October as the album’s first preview, giving listeners an early taste of the sound before the full sequence landed. The record opens with “Morenike” and closes on “FINE WINE,” with cuts like “Saint Tropez,” “Arewa,” and “First Lady” sitting in between .

What stands out is the structure. L.A.X is not crowding the album with features or chasing every available collaborator. He is picking specific voices for specific moments, letting each guest serve the song rather than the other way around. That approach fits an artist who has spent years building a catalog on his own terms.

Give “L.A.X – The Only Lover Boy Left (TOLBL)” a listen when it lands and tell me whether this one earns a spot in your rotation.
