South African house producer Sun-EL Musician teams up with vocalist Thatohatsi on “Sifikile,” a fresh Afro-house collaboration.

Sun-EL Musician knows how to bring different voices into his music, and this latest release is another example. Thatohatsi takes the vocal lead, giving the record a different character from a typical instrumental house production. The song runs for 2 minutes and 32 seconds, keeping things relatively short for an Afro-house release.

There is also an event connection behind the song. “Sifikile” serves as the official soundtrack for SHOPFEST 2026, giving the collaboration a promotional role beyond the usual music release. The track carries the kind of dance-ready sound that fits an event built around bringing people together.

Thatohatsi is not a completely new name in Sun-EL Musician’s catalogue. The two artists previously worked together on “Angeke,” alongside Kenza and JNR SA. That record appeared on Sun-EL Musician’s Under The Sun album, which brought together several voices from the South African music scene.

For Sun-EL Musician, collaborations have remained an important part of his musical direction. The producer, whose real name is Sanele Sithole, has worked with artists such as Ami Faku, Simmy and Deborah Cox. His production catalogue also includes collaborations with established names in the Afro-house scene.

Now, Thatohatsi gets another opportunity to work with him on “Sifikile.” Fans who enjoyed their previous collaboration can check out this new recording.
