Enugu rapper Tuff King climbs the Nigerian Shazam chart with “Treacherous Cadet,” a confrontational cut from his album “BLACK SHEEPIZEN.”

The song arrived months ago, so the new chart movement shows a record people keep finding. Tuff King addresses disobedience, failed expectations, and the people he would rather remove from his circle. He does not rush it. His measured rap delivery gives each line space to land, and the writing turns more forceful around the recurring hook. So the anger feels controlled, not messy.

The sound helps that mood. An R&B sample feeds into the arrangement, and darker piano chords sit underneath the verses. The pace stays steady, at around 94 beats per minute, and the track runs a little over three and a half minutes. That mix gives the record a moody, cinematic feel rather than a loud street shout.

Black Sheep Pen Records released the album, which is subtitled “THE 13th DISCIPLE.” It is a follow up to ‘Nkemakonam’ which introduced the project. It has ‘Women Of My Time’ featuring Phyno, ‘Dirty Missionary’, ‘Port Harcourt Baddies’ and ‘Lady Pasture’. The tone is consistent throughout the set, because Tuff King did his own shit here. Fans of Eastern Nigerian rap who enjoy serious bars with a strong atmosphere will find much to like.

Songs often take time to find their audience, and this one proves it. For listeners who prefer moody, confrontational rap with real writing, it is worth a close listen.
