Burundi-based gospel group Les Rachats Classic Band drops one of the most spiritually moving worship records to come out of East Africa in 2026 with “Mimi Ni Nani,” and the song has been touching hearts across the continent since its April release.
“Mimi Ni Nani” translates to “Who Am I” in Swahili – and that question carries the entire emotional weight of the record. The song draws directly from Psalm 8:4–5, reflecting on why God chooses to bless and remember those who feel completely unworthy of His grace. Because that message is so universally human, the record went viral on TikTok almost immediately after release.
The production blends soft percussion, gentle chord progressions, and warm harmonies throughout. That unhurried arrangement gives the lyrics room to breathe and sink in properly rather than rushing past the listener.
