Prolific Nigerian DJ and beat architect Dj Starkeed keeps the guitar wave rolling with another Legit Strings collaboration titled “How Many Guitar.”
You almost have to laugh at the title. It feels like Dj Starkeed is asking the question himself — how many guitar records can one man drop? Because at this point, the number is getting serious. From “Guitar Ojenkele” to “Guitar Shake Dance” to “Culture Guitar,” he has turned live guitar-driven street music into an entire movement.
Still, “How Many Guitar” doesn’t feel like filler. Legit Strings brings a different energy to each session, and this particular record has its own bounce. The guitar riffs on this one feel looser and more playful compared to some of the earlier entries in the series.
