Nigerian singer-songwriter Fave returns with a smooth new Afro-fusion single titled “Body Talk,” lifted from her RNBLING EP.

Fave has never been an artist who rushes her sound to fit a moment. Since breaking out with “Baby Riddim” in 2022, she has moved carefully and deliberately – from features on Olamide’s UY Scuti to Davido’s Timeless cut “Kante” and her own DUTTY LOVE EP in 2024. So every new release carries the weight of an artist who knows exactly what she is building toward.

“Body Talk” sits in that vulnerable, intimate space Fave does best. She graduated from OAU with a law degree and still chose music – so when she writes, there is a level of intelligence and intention behind the words that you can feel even when the song sounds effortless. The record leans into Afro-fusion territory, blending warm percussion with that signature raspy vocal delivery that has made her one of the more distinctive voices in her generation.

What makes this single interesting is the timing. Fave does not flood the market with releases. So when she drops, fans pay attention. “Body Talk” rewards that patience with something honest and well-crafted. It does not try to be louder than it needs to be. The emotion does the work instead.

For anyone who has followed Fave since the Twitter freestyles, this record is another reminder of why she belongs in the conversation. Stream “Body Talk” and add it to your RNBLING EP rotation.
