Nigerian singer-songwriter Fave brings a quieter, more emotional side of herself to her latest single titled “Drown,” another entry from her RnBling EP released on July 8, 2026.

“Drown” follows “Miss You” featuring Chike, and the two songs together reveal a clear pattern across this project. Fave is using the RnBling EP to sit with feelings rather than rush past them. While “La La La” went light and carefree, “Drown” pulls in the opposite direction. That distinction is deliberate, and it reveals an artist who understands how to cultivate a body of work with emotional range.

The song explores the weight of falling too deeply in love – where feeling everything is overwhelming in itself. Fave has always written from a personal and honest place, so the subject matter fits naturally within her catalogue.

Since her breakout with “Baby Riddim” in 2022 and her feature on Davido’s “Kante,” she has consistently demonstrated she can manage both light and heavy material without losing her sound.

What makes “Drown” stand out within the EP is the restraint. Nothing overpowers anything else. The emotion comes through because Fave lets the song breathe rather than forcing it. For fans who have followed her journey closely, this record feels like a reminder of exactly why her voice connected in the first place.
