Nigerian singer and Kilogbede Records boss Mavo links up with SSSoundGawd on a new Afrobeats cut titled “BB Lifestyle,” produced by Mellow, Sleazy, and M00tion.
The song arrives as the closing track on his upcoming 13-track album “Business,” following the earlier single “Shy Lover.”
Mavo has had one of the more interesting rise stories in Nigerian music lately. The 22-year-old Edo-born singer went from underground mixtapes to sharing credits with Wizkid and CKay in the space of a few years, and “Body (Danz)” with CKay became his first number-one record in Nigeria. Closing out the “Business” album with a lifestyle record like this one makes sense, since it reads more like a celebration than an opener.
Mellow, Sleazy and M00tion handle production together, crafting a smooth, groove-heavy bed built around layered percussion and clean melodic arrangements. The beat stays unhurried throughout, giving both artists space to move without crowding the mix. Nothing about it feels overproduced.
Mavo delivers with the easy, melodic flow that’s carried his catalogue since “Escaladizzy” started getting attention last year. He keeps his energy light here, letting the carefree theme of the song breathe rather than forcing urgency into a record that doesn’t need it.
SSSoundGawd steps in with a charismatic verse that adds personality without shifting the mood too far. His contribution leans into the same laid-back confidence Mavo sets up, and the two voices complement each other more than they contrast.
“BB Lifestyle” works as an album closer because it doesn’t try to end things with a bang. Mavo and SSSoundGawd keep it smooth and let the vibe carry the record home. Worth streaming as a taste of what the full “Business” project is building toward.
