MOEC keeps the “6IX” EP rolling with “Eriwa,” the second track on the project, and it builds naturally on the momentum “Somedays” sets up at the top.
Anyone who has followed MOEC through records like “Untold Stories” and his features with Hugo P and Highstarlavista knows he has range beyond just straight-up rap. “Eriwa” sits in that space where his indigenous roots and emotional honesty meet without either one competing for dominance.
The title carries cultural weight in Igbo, and MOEC leans into that identity the way he always does best, without explaining it for an outside audience or softening it to fit a mainstream template. He just shows up as himself and lets the language and the feeling do the work.
Coming before “Helper” on the tracklist, “Eriwa” sets up the EP’s more reflective mid-section naturally. The transition between these two records doesn’t feel accidental. There’s a clear thought process behind how MOEC sequenced “6IX,” and “Eriwa” is part of that intentional flow.
Stream “Eriwa” as part of the full “6IX” EP and let the project run straight through from track one.
