Outsyd Eddie switches up the mood on “No Love,” a track buried in the middle of his debut EP “Stay Outsyd” where the guard finally comes down.
Betrayal does that to people. On “Feel D Mood” back in 2024, Outsyd Eddie was all energy, all hook, the kind of record that made Benin City pay attention. This one’s quieter, heavier, built around the kind of hurt that makes a person stop trusting so easy.
The beat pulls back too, trading the street-pop bounce for something that gives the lyrics space to actually land. Boy.withmagic handles most of the production on “Stay Outsyd,” and this cut leans darker than the rest of the project, less party, more processing.
Outsyd Eddie doesn’t oversell the pain here. He sings like someone still working through it, guarded but honest, which fits a song literally about becoming guarded.
That’s the whole point of “No Love” — what betrayal does to a person’s ability to open back up. No sugarcoating, no forced resolution, just a guy laying out exactly why he’s closed off now.
