Nigerian singer, songwriter, and entertainer KokoPee has released a new single titled “Ogogoro,” produced by Abuja-based producer Jimoh and drops today on July 24, 2026.
The title is instantly recognizable to any Nigerian. Ogogoro is locally brewed Nigerian gin – raw, potent and steeped in street culture. Using it as a song title is a deliberate choice. It signals a record built around that same unfiltered energy. No pretense. Just straight vibes.
KokoPee has been building his catalogue steadily from Lagos. His previous release “Shine Na” showed an artist finding his feet, and so “Ogogoro” feels like a step forward in terms of confidence and identity. He sounds more settled here than before.
Producer Jimoh keeps the production grounded without overcomplicating things. The beat gives KokoPee room to express himself, and that space matters for an artist still establishing his voice. The result is a record that feels honest and street-ready at the same time.
Nigeria’s music scene right now rewards artists who stay authentic. KokoPee seems to understand that assignment well. “Ogogoro” is the kind of release that travels naturally within its audience because it speaks a language they already know.
