Warframe’s beloved in-game pop group On-lyne returns with “Running Late,” composed by Keith Power and Matthew Chalmers – and the Warframe community has been loud about it since TennoCon 2026.

On-lyne is not a traditional music act. They exist inside the world of Warframe as a fictional boy band, but the music Digital Extremes creates for them is genuinely impressive. “Party of Your Lifetime” became an actual earworm far outside the game’s usual fanbase. “The Great Despair” showed the same team could deliver emotional depth when needed. So “Running Late” arrives with real expectations behind it – and based on the immediate reaction from the Warframe community, it clears the bar.

Matthew Chalmers and Keith Power handle the composition, continuing the in-house creative partnership that has made the On-lyne catalogue one of the most unexpectedly strong fictional band discographies in gaming history. The track drops alongside the Fables & Frontiers: Running Late Nightwave event and is unlockable as an in-game Somachord – but it also follows previous On-lyne releases onto proper streaming platforms for listeners who want it outside of Warframe entirely.

Digital Extremes themselves described it as “another certifiable banger” and a “summertime hit” – and based on how the community has reacted since TennoCon 2026 first teased the announcement, that confidence is not misplaced. The promotional poster showing Harddrive, Packet, Zeke, Drillbit, and DJ RoM all running together is already generating meme content across the fanbase.

For Warframe players and the growing number of non-gamers who discovered On-lyne through the earlier releases, “Running Late” is ready and waiting for you right now.
