Zambian singer and songwriter Temwah steps forward with a heartfelt new single titled “One Man (Band),” celebrating self-reliance and emotional loyalty.

Born Temwa Gondwe on August 18, 1998, in Lilongwe, she announced the release with a simple message – “Happy birthday to me, One Man Band out now” – and that energy carries straight into the record itself. Turning a birthday into a release date rather than a celebration you wait for says something about how she sees her work: the music is the celebration.

“One Man Band” leans upbeat and Afro-fusion throughout, sitting comfortably alongside her Neo-Soul and Amapiano catalogue rather than pulling in a completely new direction. Her vocal delivery stays rich and assured, the kind of performance that sounds natural rather than rehearsed, which has been the consistent thread across her collaborations with Rich Bizzy, Zeze Kingston, and Namadingo.

Beyond the music, Temwah is a Human Resource Management graduate, founder of the He Matters Foundation, and a Boy Child Activist – someone building a full life beyond the studio. That context gives “One Man Band” a different kind of weight.
