South African talented singer Bassie joins forces with Eemoh and Sam KotKot on a new Amapiano single titled “Ekhaya.”
“Ekhaya” means “home” in isiZulu, and the collaboration builds its entire concept around what that word actually holds. Home doesn’t have to mean an address here. It could mean where someone grew up, or simply the people who make them feel safe, and that flexibility gives the song room to speak to almost anyone listening.
Bassie leads with the vocal presence that’s already made her a recognizable name in South African dance music. Rather than dominating the track, though, she leaves space for Eemoh and Sam KotKot to bring their own character in, so the collaboration reads more like a shared conversation than a single artist’s showcase.
Nello Guitar’s contribution stands out specifically. Because he brings live, organic string work into the arrangement rather than another layer of vocals, the production gains a warmth that pure electronic Amapiano often misses. Axdy Beats AU rounds out the sound underneath everyone.
