Nigerian singer and producer Young Jonn returns with a new solo record titled “By 4,” extending a run of releases that has barely slowed down this year.
Also, this one lands without a feature, giving Young Jonn full control over the record’s direction. His 2026 has already included “Elumelu,” an uptempo cut inspired by businessman Tony Elumelu, alongside “2Factor” with Asake and Focalistic. “By 4” continues that same pace of steady output.
His background as a producer still shapes how his solo work sounds. Before “Dada” made him a household name, Young Jonn was behind records like “Gbese” for Lil Kesh and “Biggest Backside” for Davido. That production instinct carries into “By 4,” giving it the same polished, radio-friendly foundation his catalogue is known for.
Melody stays central to his approach here, favouring smooth vocal delivery over anything overly complex. That formula has worked for him repeatedly, from “Xtra Cool” reaching number one on the TurnTable Top 100 to his sophomore album “Blue Disco” debuting at the top of Apple Music Nigeria’s albums chart last year.
Coming off that album’s success, Young Jonn enters “By 4” with real consistency behind him, continuing to build a catalogue defined by dependable, melodic Afropop.
