Nigerian singer Billion Solar delivers “SOLAR DHARMA,” a tight five-track, 12-minute Afrosounds EP that rewards one full sitting.
The project runs on a clear idea: songs that work as a set, not as separate singles. Billion Solar, a Vibez Inc act known for records like “Root,” “Alubarika,” and “Melody,” leans into a more structured, story-style approach here. The EP follows “Me Again,” and it shows him tightening his focus.
The tracklist stays short on purpose. “Alone” opens the set at 2:32. “Meri Duniya (I’m still here)” comes next with AliSoomroMusic, and its title blends Hindi-Urdu with English in a way that stands apart on a Nigerian project. “Colorado” sits in the middle at 2:39, and “Ches$e” follows as the shortest track at 2:15. “Dandelion” with deo beats closes things out at 2:40.
Because every song stays under three minutes, the EP moves fast. Nothing overstays, and each track adds a different mood to the story. Two guests appear, but neither pulls the project away from him. The whole thing is about 12 minutes, so it fits a short commute or a quick late-night session.
Billion Solar clearly wants listeners to hear the EP from start to finish, and the compact runtime makes that easy.
