Talented music artist Uncool MC steps out as an artist on “Sesikude,” a seven-track debut EP about how far he has come.

The title means “we have come far,” and the story starts in Kwa-Thema, where he grew up. Uncool MC built his name as a host and MC beside some of the biggest names in Amapiano. Now he puts more of his own life into the music as a performer and DJ. He has said the EP follows his journey, from childhood memories to moving up north and travelling the world through his craft.

The numbers back up the move. He has played Cotton Fest, Piano People, Afro Nation, and Fact Durban Rocks, and his releases and collaborations have passed 140 million Spotify streams. Before the EP arrived, he held a listening session at CÉ LA VI in Sandton, and gamma handled the release.

The lead single “Setla” brings DJ Maphorisa, Focalistic, N T S A K O XVI, and Shaun 101 together, and it has been dominating the charts. The rest of the EP stays just as busy. The log drums run deep, the vocal chants stay lively, and Private School Amapiano touches add polish. Tycoon appears on two songs, “Mazkhethela” and “Awuzweke,” so a clear thread runs through the middle.

The title track pulls in Royal MusiQ, DJ Smallz, ZinedinexSguche, and Nomfundo Kayy, and it sits right at the midpoint.
