DJ Goja – Mi Chico ft Jason Derulo & Melody

Romanian producer DJ Goja teams up with global superstar Jason Derulo and Brazilian phenomenon Melody on “Mi Chico,” a summer single blending Afro house rhythms with pop instincts. The title comes from the Spanish phrase meaning “my boy,” setting the song’s flirty, dancefloor-ready tone.

Goja actually came up with the idea while working on an entirely different project, his children’s music venture Piky Songs. He spent a week running through chorus variations before landing on “Mi Chico,” wanting to combine Afrobeat style with a summer mood.

Jason Derulo’s involvement came together fast. After the original version took off online, Derulo congratulated Goja on Instagram, and the two immediately got to work. Over the next two weeks, they reshaped the track together, with Derulo bringing his pop sensibility into the mix.
