Everybody wants to know how to make money in Lagos Life. The good news is that the game rewards steady players. The bad news is that there are no cheat codes.

Start with your job.

Money in the game comes from five places: your job, side gigs, businesses, a haulage trailer and land. Your job is the engine, so treat it seriously. Finish every shift, because leaving early cuts your pay, and winning four tasks in a shift earns a 15% bonus.

Promotions come next.

They need 100% performance plus a skill level, so practise the skill your career uses. The payoff is big. Music tops out at Afrobeats Giant, the best-paid single shift in the game at ₦99,000. In weekly terms, Real Estate pays the most at the top level, at ₦528,000 a week.

Beginners should pick carefully, though. Pay figures differ between fan guides, and the game is still being updated. Check the numbers in your own Jobs app before you commit.

On days off, take side gigs. Help at the Buka pays a flat ₦1,750, and Carry Load (Alabaru) pays ₦2,250. These need no skill, so they fill your free hours.

Once you have cash, buy a business. Businesses pay every evening at 6 PM after running costs, though a bad day can lose money instead. The POS stand at ₦500,000 is described as the cheapest real passive income in the game. Bigger options exist, such as a Buka or a car wash, but they cost millions and take longer to pay back.

Land works differently.

It grows in value over time, but you only get that money when you sell, minus a 5% fee. So land suits patient players.

Finally, protect your cash. Rent leaves your wallet every Saturday, and LAPO babies owe a weekly repayment too. Keep that money aside before you spend on anything fun.

Remember one rule. The game’s terms say in-game naira has no real-world value and cannot be cashed out. You are building a virtual fortune, not real income.
