Rising Afro-pop voice Blulyt steps up with a bold new record titled “Want It All.” It comes from her debut EP, “Shades Of Blu.”
Blulyt is a South African act on Pond Entertainment, and this track anchors her debut EP. The EP mixes Amapiano, Afrobeats, Gqom and R&B, so she covers a lot of ground. Still, this single is the one that spells out her ambition.
The beat drives forward with a bright Afro-pop pulse, so the mood lifts fast. Pond Entertainment executive produced the project, and the polish shows here. Meanwhile, the low end stays light enough for the vocals to lead.
Her background in dramatic arts shows in how she plays with her delivery. She sounds sure of herself, yet she keeps the tone friendly. Because of that, the ambition never comes across as arrogant.
Lyrically, the song is about ambition, gratitude and wanting more. She also refuses to shrink for anyone in her way, and that attitude drives the record. Besides, the video adds kids playing in the background for a nostalgic touch.
This one works because the message is bold but still grounded. Although she wants more, the song never forgets where she comes from.
