Ugandan Luganda singer Chris Evans Kaweesi follows his recent run with “Suubi,” a short Afrobeat single with an official video.
The song runs two minutes and forty seconds. It is tight and direct. 3592825 Records DK handles the release.
TikTok has been central to the push. Chris Evans posted clip after clip with the “Suubi” sound under the “new music” tag. One clip alone passed 34,000 likes and drew nearly a thousand comments. So the hook was in people’s feeds before many had seen the full video.
He has kept up the pace this year. “NINDAAMU,” “Nakoowa,” “Akameeza,” and “Mirembe” all came before it. “Mpayo Omukisa” with Lydia Jazmine is also part of the run. That is a lot of singles in a short time.
Chris Evans has been active since 2007. He sings mainly in Luganda, and he is one of Uganda’s best-known voices of his generation. “Mwagala Ki” with Chosen Becky is one of his recent collaborations.
His method here is simple. Short songs, steady releases, and constant clips. That keeps him close to fans between bigger projects.
Production credits for “Suubi” haven’t surfaced yet. Still, the official video and the social push show a clear plan.
