Iceking Ochacho brings an early single into his debut album with “Magic,” the twelfth track on “The Future.”

The song reached listeners before the album did. It was one of three singles, with “Dreams” and “No Competition,” that built interest in the full project. So fans already knew it when the album arrived, and that early exposure gave it a head start. It also kept his name active after the 2025 EP “I’m Back,” because the new material started to flow more regularly.

Placement adds to the story. “Magic” sits right after “Vibe Check” at track eleven and just before “Halla My Name” at track thirteen. That puts three short, upbeat songs in a row, near the end of the album. Chief Double G produced all of them, so the sound stays consistent while the titles keep the mood playful.

The word itself fits his image. A 13-year-old rapper who started experimenting with rap at seven has plenty of reasons to talk about magic. The song keeps the Afrobeats base bright and simple, and it leaves room for his youthful voice to lead.

Early singles often decide how an album is received. Putting one of them in the closing stretch gives long-time followers something familiar when the project is almost over.

Fans who like short, catchy Afrobeats with a hint of attitude can start here.
