Young Nigerian rapper Iceking Ochacho teams up with Jumabee on “Blessings,” the fourteenth track on his debut album “The Future.”

The title points straight to thanks, and it fits the album’s closing mood. “Blessings” sits right before “Grateful,” the final song, so the last two tracks work as a pair. After a run of playful songs like “Vibe Check” and “Magic,” the album ends on a thankful note. That order shows a clear plan, even from a 13-year-old.

Jumabee joins as a guest vocalist. He is an experienced Nigerian performer, and his voice gives the song a steadier, more seasoned colour next to Iceking’s youthful delivery. Chief Double G produced it, like every track on the project, and he keeps the Afrobeats base warm and simple.

Gratitude is also a theme Iceking has visited before. His 2025 EP “I’m Back” included “Oil on My Head,” a record about faith and appreciation, and “Oh Papa” thanked the people who supported his career. So “Blessings” continues an idea he clearly cares about. It does not feel like a late add-on.

Collaborations across the album show his growing network. He worked with Magnito on “Call You Back” and with 2Baba on “Young Forever,” and Jumabee now adds another name to the list.

For listeners who like feel-good Afrobeats with a thankful message, this one fits.

Count your blessings with “Blessings” and tell us – who are you thankful for today?
