South African multi-platinum producer Abidoza turns toward the club with “Club Controller,” an eight-track Amapiano EP on Doza Nation Entertainment.

Fans know him for smooth, soulful records like “Baby Boy,” “Siyathandana,” and “Dinaledi.” This project shows the louder side. The songs lean on bass, log drums, and long grooves built for dance floors, and the full set runs close to an hour. Most tracks stretch past six minutes. “Controller” and “Chomi” both pass eight, so the music has time to build and breathe, the way DJ-led Amapiano usually does.

The guest list stays tight. Tumza D’kota opens the EP on “Batlore Tswenya” and returns to close it on “Just Like That.” Djy Vino joins the title-style cut “Club What,” then returns with KMAT and Trixx on “Chomi.” El.Stephano shares “Controller,” and Calvin Fallo appears on “City Rains.” “Skoko” and “Organic Roots” are solo showings, so Abidoza keeps part of the spotlight to himself.

“Club What” and “Chomi” came out first as singles, and they set the direction. Listeners already knew what to expect before the full tracklist landed.

For DJs, the long runtimes make the songs easy to mix. For everyone else, the EP works as a late-night session that keeps one mood from start to end.
