Coconut Rootz delivers a 17-track, 54-minute reggae album of love songs, built by writer and producer Benson Ainebyona.

The self-titled project plays like one long island conversation about romance. It starts with a question in “Can I Keep You” and ends with a celebration in “Island Girl Life.” In between, the songs move through confidence, doubt, devotion, and homecoming. Apple Music files it under reggae, and Audiomack tags it Caribbean, so the sound sits somewhere between classic roots grooves and soft, modern love songs.

Most tracks run between two and a half and four minutes, and the pace stays easy. “Where My Heart Is” is the longest at just over four minutes, while “Island Girl Life” is the shortest at 2:27. The titles tell their own story too. “It Never Fades,” “Could You Be The One,” “Coming Home To You,” and “My Island Lady” all point to the same theme of lasting love. That consistency keeps the album from feeling scattered, even with so many songs.

Listeners have shown up. The project passed 850,000 plays on Audiomack, and Coconut Rootz kept the momentum going with the “My Everything” release, which added “I’ve Fallen For You,” “Solar Eclipse,” and “Too Much.” Newer singles like “We Are 2 to 1” and “Standing Alone” followed.

For anyone who wants calm, romantic reggae for a long evening, this album works from the first track to the last.
