Gifted K-pop group LNGSHOT shares “Masterpiece,” the pre-release single ahead of their five-song EP “S.W.I.S.H.”
Jay Park assembled the four-member group in 2025. Their concept leans on hip-hop. The debut EP, “Shot Callers,” reached number three on domestic charts. After a busy first quarter this year, they went quiet for a while. A collaboration with Jay Park was the main release in between. So this single doubles as a comeback signal.
They rarely stay silent for long, though. “Saucin'” and the “Training Day” EP came before. “Fire With Fire” tied into the film “K-POPS!”
The rollout leaned on style. Teaser photos showed each member in formal, dandy-inspired looks. A short peek at dance practice followed. Fans noticed that “Masterpiece” is not the title track, yet some say they already play it nonstop.
The sound sits closer to smooth R&B than to heavy trap. Vocal colour carries the song. Not everyone agrees on the result. One reviewer felt the phrasing kept repeating the same few lines. Others hear a hypnotic groove instead. That split is part of what makes it worth a listen.
