Nigerian indigenous rapper Paragon QTM teams up with Hugo P on “Ugo,” a prayer-soaked track about ambition and trust in God.

This is the first time the two artists share a record. It arrived in October 2026, right after her earlier single “Gods Timing.” Paragon keeps working the same ground, which is money pressure, big goals, and leaning on God when things feel tight.

Her storytelling gets personal here. She talks about growing up in Nsukka, the push to escape poverty, and how people’s attitudes shift once someone starts winning. Success changes who calls you, and she says so plainly. That honesty links the song to her 2025 project “Daughter of Edith.”

Language adds colour. The record moves between English, Nigerian Pidgin, and Igbo, with Paragon’s assertive rap carrying most of the story. A recurring chorus about trusting God ties the verses together. In Igbo, “ugo” means eagle, a bird tied to honour and status, so the title also nods to heritage.

Hugo P brings a different angle. His verse focuses on perseverance, answered prayers, and staying careful about betrayal. So the song balances hope with a warning, and both artists sound like people who earned their lessons.

Together they add another entry to the growing indigenous hip-hop movement in southeastern Nigeria.
